When children visit
Morning and afternoon sessions run from Monday to Friday during term time. Morning sessions are 9:00am to midday and afternoon sessions from midday until 3:00pm, both also come with a lunch time option.
They are aged 2-5 years and visit us from a wide area of Andover, including Roman Way, Picket Twenty and surrounding villages such as Appleshaw.
We pride ourselves on inclusivity and welcome all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities. Children may start as soon as they are 2 and it is not essential that children are potty trained to join us.
A fun, stimulating, secure and positive learning environment
Our dedicated staff team offer activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage as well as focussing on the individual interests of the children and their environment. We are proud to report that we received a good Ofsted report in our most recent inspection.
We are committed to providing a positive learning environment that supports children to cultivate their individual personality. It is our aim to assist children to develop their emotional, social and communicative skills as well as their academic skills such as:
- counting, size and shape recognition
- problem solving
We promote creative skills including singing/music and art; physical skills to improve their balance, movement and the awareness of their own body with a focus on their awareness of the world around them.
We have regular meetings with parents and carers, so you can see your child’s development and progress through their Learning Journey Book. This is supported by our online system, Tapestry, which records your child’s special moments and keeps you involved as they blossom. Tapestry is also used in conjunction with developmental stages and milestones to assess more formally how children are progressing.
Funding & childcare vouchers
We accept government funding for 2-4 years old and we are registered with the local authority to allow parents to access their free entitlement of pre-school hours.
